about

another song about the difficulties of love. wrote and recorded this track originally in my attic room on porter street off conneticut ave. in nw wash, dc. my demo was later re-recorded by jamie blake and produced by paul fox of xtc 'oranges and lemons' fame. she cut the track once again at A&M studios in LA with me and drummer josh freeze (devo, paul westerberg, perfect circle, etc.), but it didn't find its way on to her record. if i can find her version i'll see if i can post it as a bonus track. played this one live several times at the 930 club with my post radioblue band, super-8, but eventually cut the track properly for this CD. i felt a strong neil young (and maybe some j. mascis) influence while playing the lead guitar on this one. i've heard this one compared to the gin blossoms, but i was never a huge fan....

lyrics

maybe i don't understand you maybe i don't know myself maybe there's no way around you maybe i need help i do baby i get so tired i do fallking out on your way i say baby i love your lies i go through another week of days baby it gets cold without you baby it drags on and on and on baby i can see you in my sweatshirt you're talkin' on the phone...
i waited for you i know where you'll be what you'll do what you'll see who you'll be yeah yeah yeah
